SHANGHAI, China, March 28 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Shanghai International Exhibition Co., Ltd. announced today that the 11th International Automobile & Manufacturing Technology Exhibition (AUTO Shanghai 2005), with the theme of ’Better Auto, Better Life,’ will begin on April 22 and run through until April 28. The event will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (No.2345, Longyang Road, Pudong New Area, Shanghai).
Auto Shanghai 2005 will be organized by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), CCPIT Shanghai Sub-Council, CCPIT Automotive Sub-Council and co-organized by the Shanghai International Exhibition Co., Ltd. (SIEC) and Messe Muenchen International and IMAG -- International Exhibition and Fair Services Ltd. The China Machinery Industry Federation shall render special support for the show and the Society of Automotive Engineers of China (SAE China) will also be in support.
All seven indoor exhibition rooms and the outdoor exhibition space of the Shanghai New International Expo Center will be made available for Auto Shanghai 2005, utilizing an area of 120,000 square meters, an increase of 50% over the previous show in 2003. Some of the world’s biggest auto companies will be in attendance, making joint efforts to showcase their latest products. The list of attendees include; the Fort Group, with their brands Volvo, Mazda, Fort, Jaguar, Land Rover and Lincoln; the Volkswagon Group, including German VW, Shanghai VW, FAW-VW, Audi, FAW-Audi, Lamborghini, Bugatti, Bentley and Skoda; General Motors, and respective brands like American GM, Shanghai GM, PATAC and Shanghai GM Wuling; Daimler-Chrysler Motor Corporation, including Benz Cars, Benz trucks, Beijing Jeep and Chrysler; Toyota Motor Corporation; Peugeot; Renault; BMW, with famous brands like Rolls-Royce and MINI; Honda; Nisson; Mitsubishi; Ferrari; Boxster; Spyde; Fiat; Hyundai; Qssuzuki; Kia; Galue; Dodge Fengxing and the FAW, Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (Group) (SAIC). Companies that specialize in spare parts and accessories will include exhibition teams from Europe, Japan and Korea, including companies like Delphi, DENSO, Bosch, ZF, Siemens, Valeo, Eaton, Michelin, Bridgestone and Goodyear.
Event Schedule:
April 21 will be Press Day. News media will be allowed sole participation for one day only from 08:30 to 21:00. Media journalists who would like to join should register at the official website http://www.autoshanghai.com.cn/ . The organizers will review individual information and send invitations to those they think relevant. Some exhibitors will also hold news conferences that day and invite media to attend.
April 22 and 23 will be Professionals Day. Professional audiences can enter the event, with tickets, from 12:00 to 17:00 on April 22 and 09:00 to 17:00 on April 23. It should be noted that the opening ceremony will be launched on the morning of April 22, which is only accessible with special invitations. So before 12:00 that day, attendees with standard tickets can only enter after noon.
April 24 to 28 will be public days accessible to all public members with standard tickets. The exhibition will open at 09:00 and close at 17:00 on April 24 to 27, and from 09:00 to 14:00 on April 29.
