Hi I'm English living in sofia. We own an alfa 147 TS 1.6 and yesterday cracked the "oil sump" after going down some hole in the road! (its the box that hold the engine oil under the engine) Can anyone advice a good place close to Sofia where i can find used parts? (i cant really afford to buy new) I have someone to do the job for 100lv so I just need to find the part!

...any help would be greatfull thank you

Hi, there are a lot of breakers in Sofia, you just need to find someone who has a car like yours.You can try "italianetsa".They are on the corner of "Ovcha Kupel" blv. and "Zhitnica" str., if you have a GPS.
It will be helpful if you find out if a slump pan from a 146/156 1.6 fits your car.Then you will be able to find your part quicker.
The word for slump pan in Bulgarian is "Karter".It would be helpful because I doubt most of the breakers know English.
You can also try www.mobile.bg, but you will need someone who knows Bulgarian to help you find a crashed vehicle like yours and call to check for the slump pan.
If you have any problems, send me a msg, I will be back from the UK on Monday and I will have time to help you find one

Thanks for the quick responce. "Karter" eh, thats good to know. I'm not sure where to find the info from to see if its matching the 146/156 i'll do some more googl'ing and see if i can find out. lets hope it does!

yay! found one for 250lv :P thanks Satanism

....but now the mechanic thinks the damage isnt so bad (small crack) and has recomended to repair it for a cost of 60lv (very cheap!) plus 100lv for fitting. So the job will be done tomorrow

Hope that includes the oil and filter cause otherwise he is trying to make a few levs out of you
And by the way, 250lv for a slump pan are way too much...it shouldn't be more than 150...
